Driver

Drivers may be required to pick up customers and bring them to the lot, transport
customers from the lot an airport or hotel, transport vehicles to and from outside vendors,
or perform any of a number of driving tasks.
For this reason, Drivers not only must be safe and capable vehicle operators with a good
working knowledge of routes and destinations, they also must have the people skills
necessary for dealing with customers and vendors, plus a good working knowledge of the
station fleet and lot orientation.

Driver Duties

  • Safely drive and deliver vehicles locally or out of the area as needed
  • Deliver customers to appropriate destinations in a safe and courteous manner
  • Ride with or follow other drivers to drop off vehicles or to pick up multiple vehicles
  • Notify the manager of any customer or vehicle problems
  • Ensure proper fuel tank level
  • Accurately complete paperwork associated with pick-up and delivery of vehicles
  • Organize travel routes, and ensure that vehicle paperwork is accurate and timely
  • Clean vehicles
  • Assist customers with directions, car options, and luggage loading and unloading, if
    asked

 

Experience and Education

  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and work-related
    experience
  • Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
  • Possession of, or ability to acquire, any special license classifications necessary based on
    the types of vehicles used at the station
  • Ability to operate a variety of vehicles, including buses and large trucks, safely and
    skillfully on many types of roads and in all weather conditions
  • Knowledge of, and ability to follow, rules and laws pertaining to traffic and safety in Thailand
  • Ability to read and interpret maps and to follow verbal directions
  • Ability to make appropriate judgments, while keeping customer service, safety and time
    sensitivity a priority
  • Ability to assist passengers and lift heavy objects when requested
  • Ability to maintain a friendly, courteous attitude toward customers and fellow employees
    in a multi-cultural environment
  • Able to speak and understand English
